If your Application is successful and you secure accommodation in Shanowen Square your booking deposit will become a security deposit which will be refunded to you at the end of the Academic year subject to no unpaid rent/outstanding fines/damages being charged against it.

Booking & Payment
To process a booking, a payment of €600 must be made to our nominated bank account.

€200 Administration Fee: Non-refundable in all circumstances.

€400 Booking/Damage Deposit: Refunded at the end of your stay, provided there are no unpaid rents or property damages.
Cancellation Policy
Please only book if you are certain of your move-in. Our refund policy is as follows:

The Application Day: Includes a 14-day cooling-off period. If you cancel within these 14 days, the €400 deposit is refunded, but the €200 fee is forfeited.

14 day after the application day: If you cancel at any date, no refunds will be issued for the administration fee or the deposit.
Processing
Upon receipt of your application and deposit, we will email you within 2–4 working days to confirm your room.
Notice: The Application Form is not a binding agreement. A room is only secured once you receive our official confirmation email.
Rate & Payment FAQs
When is the booking deposit due?
The €600 payment is required at the time of application to secure your suite. This includes a non-refundable €200 administration fee and a €400 security deposit.
Is my room guaranteed once I submit the form?
No. The application form is a request for a room, not a binding contract. Your room is only secured once you receive a formal confirmation email from our team, which typically takes 2–4 working days.
Can I pay my rent in installments?
Yes, installment options are available for all residents. Detailed payment schedules and terms will be issued alongside your License to Reside once your booking is confirmed.
What if I change my mind after paying?

Application Date: You have a 14-day cooling-off period. You will be refunded your €400 deposit, but the €200 admin fee remains non-refundable.

After 14 days from the application date: No refunds are issued for the deposit or the admin fee. We strongly advise only booking if you are certain you will be moving in.
What is the full payment schedule?
Payment schedules are issued with your License to Reside. You can choose to pay the full annual amount upfront or opt for our convenient installment plan.
How do I get my €400 deposit back?
Your deposit is returned at the end of your stay. We will deduct any costs associated with unpaid rent, outstanding utilities, or damages to the room. If the room is returned in its original condition and all fees are paid, you receive the full €400 back.
Are utilities included in the rates?
Your rates cover high-speed broadband, heat, water, and waste services. Electricity is also included based on a fair usage policy, with specific details provided in your move-in pack. The weekly allowance is €12/person/week.
Why is the €200 fee non-refundable?
The €200 administration fee covers the operational costs of processing your application, background checks, and account setup. This fee is forfeited "in any event whatsoever" if you choose not to move in.
What happens if I leave the residence early?
If you choose to vacate your suite before the license end date, you remain liable for any outstanding rent until a replacement tenant is secured. The security deposit cannot be applied toward final rent payments.
